Community organizer, passionate philanthropist, renowned Grantmaker, attorney, and proud Mississippian – as the Director of Place Based Investments and Grantmaking at the Rockefeller Foundation Greg is currently dedicated to investing in partners, projects, and programs that eliminate barriers to access capital and credit for small and micro Black-owned businesses through the Rockefeller Opportunity Collective. His previous positions include program officer at the Unitarian Universalist Veatch Program at Shelter Rock, and Manager of VIP relationships, corporate responsibility, and philanthropy in a corporate social responsibility office that supported access to clean water and higher education. Greg also served as a vital member of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s Mississippi and New Orleans team managing a portfolio of nearly 140 grants totaling more than $90 million. In February 2020 Greg won Philanthropist of the Year at the Young, Gifted & Empowered Awards.
